Great grip in the wet and snow

I bought these to replace my Motomaster All Terrain winter tires that hit 9 years old. So far they are great on all roads..wet, thick snow. I live in the Ontario snowbelt so we always get tons of snow. Haven't tried them in ice yet. One thing...parts of highway 115 have grooves in the pavement that go in the direction that you drive. These tires seem to grab and follow those grooves causing the car to very slightly weave side to side. It's not much and didn't make it hard to drive or scary. But it is noticeable and was a surprise the first time. I wonder if it had to do with them being directional tires with deep tread? But I am very happy i bought them and hope they last as long.

Basically new winter tires installation however, the installer left all this white paste/gunk all over the side walls. It's still there after two weeks

Not worth it.

Works fine in nominal conditions, not good for tough snow weather, had an accident with snow tires on due to slippery conditions, was no better than regular all weather tires.

Q: Is this tire sutiable my gmcTerrain SLT 2020 currently have 235 50 29 99H

1 Answer
  • A: Hi Vickie! I'm assuming you meant 235/50R19 instead of R29. If so, this size is available in this size but the speed rating is T, which is lower than H. If the tires you currently have are OE, then we recommend looking into other tire models with the same or higher speed rating.

Q: Will this (Size: 225/55R18) fit in the Acura TLX SHAWD 2017?

  • YOKOHAMA TIRE

A: Hello, thanks for your question - as the manufacturer we recommend using the same size as marked inside the driver side door side-wall (yellow sticker). I believe the correct size for your vehicle is 225/50R18 95H, which Yokohama offers in the BluEarth Winter V905, as well as the iceGuard iG53. Hope this helps. Best, from the Yokohama team.

Q: The CT website is saying these tires won’t fit my 2022 RAV4 XLE premium. Is that accurate? My tires are 235/55R19.

1 Answer
  • A: Hi, thank you for the question. The Yokohama IceGuard G075 is available in the size 235/55R19 101T, the RAV4 has an OE rating of 101V. In most instances going down in speed rating from V to T is not a major concern. If you'd like to override the fitment warning, use the shop by tire size tool rather than the shop by vehicle function. You can also order through your local CT service department, SKU: 408-7474.

Q: Why do these tires not fit a 2017 Acura RDX if the are the same size 235/60/R18.

1 Answer
  • YOKOHAMA TIRE

A: Hey Marv, Great question - thanks for reaching out. Yes, you are actually good to go with the Yokohama IceGuard G075 for your 2017 Acura RDX. I've checked with our technical expert who confirms item# 110175115, 235/60R18 107T XL IG G075 is a perfect option for your vehicle in winter. The reason you may not have thought so is because of the speed rating on your vehicle's tires are "V", versus the speed rating on the 235/60R18 107T XL IG G075 is a "T"; which is lower but suitable for winter driving conditions which are known to be slower. Thanks! from the Yokohama team.
