Product Details

The Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice WRT Tire is an ideal winter tire for passenger vehicles and CUVs, offering strong performance on snow and ice. The tire’s specialized tread compound enhances traction, while two-dimensional blades in the center zone boost its starting and stopping power. Three-dimensional tread lock blades on the shoulders enhance grip during turns. This tire provides a confident, stable ride over a wide range of winter conditions. The advanced tread design offers excellent braking, acceleration, and handling on snowy and icy roads. In closing, winter drivers can trust the Ultra Grip Ice WRT to deliver reliable performance.

Snow Peak Rated

The 3 Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol indicates the tire is rated for Severe Snow Service. This is the acceptable standard for winter driving in Canada and provides improved safety on snow and ice.

Mud And Snow Rated

The M+S symbol differentiates an All-Season tire from a Summer only tire. While rated for light snow, they will not match a winter tire for traction or stopping distance on snow and ice.

Accepts Studs

This tire can have studs installed to provide additional mechanical traction on icy surfaces. Studded tires are prohibited by law in many provinces. Ask at your local Canadian Tire store.

    Great tires!!!

My first trip on these tires was to Vermont during a black ice event. These tires gripped the road and allowed me to carry on with my trip while others were sitting on the side of the road. They were then put to the test of 8" of fresh snow upon my arrival. I'm a customer for life and thank you for a fine product!!

My First set of Ultra Grip WRT's and so far I am really impressed, I only run them in the winter and I snow ski a lot so I don't go cheap on snow tires. The directional tread is much quieter then aggressive mud & snow tires and the sipes are great on ice. No studs for me as they make a lot of road noise on the highway and I am not compromising traction or grip with these tires.

The specs state the tires are not studdable - this is incorrect, and you can clearly see the small holes in the photo of the tire where the studs are inserted for extra traction.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Snow over the bumber, got out like a summer day.

Got a brand new F-150 in August of last year. Before I knew it, it was time to put a set of winter tires on. Wasn't an overly bad winter. Only a half dozen or so really bad storms. But every time we had 50 plus CM's and everything else was shut down... and I had to get into work ASAP, I got in without any issues. One day the boss called me up and told me to stay home until the plows had a chance to clear the roads. I was already in. Works great in icy, semi-clear roads too. Never skipped a beat all winter long with these tires. Not the greatest for fuel economy. I think 13 L/100KM was the average last year. But it's a trade off I am wiling to make for a very safe tire.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Worst winter tire ever

On a Cadillac SRX4 these have been the worst winter tires I've ran in 17 years driving. I drive around 30k km per winter in the worst conditions imaginable as an oilfield worker, so I know a good set of tires. Bought these for my wife's vehicle based on positive reviews. The other reviewers are obviously driving in mild conditions at best. These tires are junk. Got a flat from gravel on a highway in the first week, rock penetrated the tire. They don't evacuate slush at all, the tread blocks are too tight to evacuate snow or grip in loose snow/slush, and they are terrible on ice, both starting and stopping. They are so bad that after only one winter we are running them all summer to wear them out so we can buy a better tire for this coming winter. My wife drove my truck with Toyo Open Country CT's on it all winter instead because she hated these tires on her CUV so much. Save yourself the money and buy anything but Goodyear or Michelin winter tires. Absolutely garbage tires.

No, I do not recommend this product.
