The Continental SecureContact AW Tire is a premium all-weather touring tire designed for passenger cars, crossovers and SUVs. This tire is certified with the 3-peak mountain snowflake certification, making it reliable for severe winter conditions.

Snow Peak Rated

The 3 Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol indicates the tire is rated for Severe Snow Service. This is the acceptable standard for winter driving in Canada and provides improved safety on snow and ice.

Mud And Snow Rated

The M+S symbol differentiates an All-Season tire from a Summer only tire. While rated for light snow, they will not match a winter tire for traction or stopping distance on snow and ice.

Purchased in October to replace factory Yokohamas, these Continental SecureContact AW tires provided an immediate, amazing improvement in ride smoothness and noise reduction. Despite an initial lack of reviews, they have proven highly capable: Winter Performance: Exceptional grip and "surefootedness" in ice and snow. Efficiency: No noticeable drop in electric range or fuel economy for a PHEV, even in a harsh winter. Verdict: Highly recommended for those seeking a smoother, quieter, and winter-capable touring tire.

These Continental tires grip the ice and snow covered road like none other. I can't speak for quietness, etc. as it is winter but considering the quality I'm sure they will be great as a summer tire too. I'm glad I spent a couple extra bucks and got these Secure Contact All Weather tires. ECSTATIC! 👍

A: The "DOT" symbol certifies the tire manufacturer's compliance with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) tire safety standards. Tires made in the United States have the DOT serial number located on the inside sidewall near the rim. Description of the serial number, four numbers are used for the Date of Manufactuer, first two numbers identify the week and the last two numbers identify the year of manufacture.
