How to choose the right hand soap

What should I look for when buying hand soap for sensitive skin?

If you have sensitive skin, look for options listed as dye and fragrance-free, from brands like The Unscented Company and Eco-Max. Hand soaps that contain shea butter, coconut oil or olive oil are less likely to dry out your skin or cause skin irritations.

Is liquid soap or bar soap better for washing hands?

Both bar soap and liquid hand soap help clean your hands from dirt and bacteria. While liquid handwash has added moisturizers to help keep your skin from drying out, the friction caused by rubbing your hands with bar soap can be more effective at removing dirt and other debris from your hands.

Can you use hand soap to wash dishes?

Many hand soaps include ingredients that aren’t food-safe. So, although hand soap will work if you run out of dish soap, it’s best to avoid if possible.

Can you use hand soap as a body wash?
