Zoji ricecookers are the best

This is my 3rd zoji rice cooker purchase. I bought 1 for myself about 10 years ago, loved it so much I bought another as a gift for mom, and now just purchased a new model for myself. The settings are easy to use and rice comes out great with no effort at all. Dirt easy to use.
My old one is still working fine after 10 years, but the pot is a bit scratched up. I could easily have purchased a new pot (the thing you put rice in, dunno what the actual term is) but I just passed the old one on and got myself a new one. Mentioning this to make it clear I think the zoji rice cookers can def last >10 years, maybe 15 years?
Anyways, I'm happy with my purchase. My new zoji and me will be hanging out together for the next 10 years at least.

Thank you for your feedback. Our Micom rice cookers take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to cook white rice. That's because they automatically soak the rice before starting the cooking process. Once the cooking is complete, the rice is allowed to steam to finish the process.
Basic or conventional rice cookers only do the cooking part, hence they seem to be faster. But, to get the same results, it is recommended to soak the rice before pressing the cook button. After the cooking is complete, the lid should not be opened for about 15 minutes to let the rice finish cooking with the steam. If you follow all these steps, you will take the same amount of time that a Micom rice cooker takes to cook rice. The added benefit of using a Micom rice cooker is that it automatically does everything for you so you don't have to. Hope this helps explains the time it takes to cook perfect rice.

I bought this for the umami setting and it’s amazing. It’s like magic to your tastebuds.. the way it brings out the extra deliciousness in the rice is incredible. My rice game has reached a whole new level.

Great rice cooker but worn down quickly

I bought this in January 2023 and in under a year, the coating of the rice cooker bowl has already chipped off. I have never used anything other than the provided rice scooper on it so I don’t understand how it happened. I’m a little disappointed since I decided to upgrade to this rice cooker with the idea that I’ll use it for a long time but I already need to purchase a replacement bowl.
