Q: is this all I need to heat the engine?
a year agoA: If it is a traditional block heater/coolant immersion heater this is the most effective way to preheat the engine. With this type of heater, you get 100% heat transfer into the coolant and in turn that heat warms up the fluids in the engine. Depending on the ambient temperature a heater like this can achieve a heat balance in 2 to 4 hours after being energized.
