This 6'6" rod is the perfect balance of strength and sensitivity, making it ideal for targeting bass, walleye, and other medium-sized freshwater species. The moderate-fast action provides excellent casting distance and hook-setting power, while the durable fiberglass construction ensures long-lasting performance. The reel is smooth and reliable, featuring a 5.2:1 gear ratio and 5 bearings (4 + clutch) for effortless retrieves. The Instant Anti-Reverse clutch is a game-changer, preventing any backward motion and giving me confidence during fights with larger fish. Plus, the front-adjustable drag system with a max drag of 12 pounds allows for precise control over the line tension. I also appreciate the thoughtful design elements, like the Twist-Lock reel seat that keeps the reel securely in place, and the ComfortGrip™ split handle that provides all-day comfort during long fishing sessions. The line is SO CHEAP it just tangles constantly. Absolutely impossible to use. I just wanted an inexpensive one for my kid, but regretted buying this one. Avoid this one. I'm actually astounded Canadian Tire sells this cheap of a product.
