POOR CONSTRUCTION FALLS APART WHEN WASHED

Outrageous: the black leather-like palms, which are polyurethane, immediately started to disintegrate when I started to hand-wash the mitts using warm water and standard clothing detergent. What were the manufacturer and Canadian Tire thinking? Do not most people want to wash mitts before wearing them, especially if they have been hanging in a store with dust and customers possibly trying them on? I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.
