Handle WAY Too short for anyone taller than 4ft 6.

I received this Yardworks Ice scraper as a gift (yes, I'm one of those), and the person buying it has never used one of these before. Apparently this was all CT had in stock for ice scrapers at the time. The total height of the scraper is just under 47 inches. I am 5ft 6in in my boots. My hands have about two inches of handle to grab with scraper upright and my elbows at 90 degrees. And despite giving it a good try - there's just not enough handle length for anyone to get a good enough grip on it to scrape stubborn ice or snow without bending right over. There needs to be at LEAST another 12-18 inches of handle length; as is it's an ergonomic nightmare. Maybe it's for short people? Having used these before, they USED to come with much LONGER handles, making both chopping and scraping easier. Hopefully CT will take it back.

Too short, no D-handle

Unfortunately this was the only ice scraper in stock. The handle is too short, the blade is lightweight (and not sharpened) and it doesn't have a D-Handle on the end like all my previous scrapers. Any moderately heavy scraping and you'll end up with blisters on your hand from pushing the end with your palm.

Q: Would this work to scrape peeling wood stain on deck?

A: It might, my customer uses it for peeling glue off OSB board, we have never tried it on stain but I would think it would work. You would have to be careful to not score the boards but keep a even pressure on the edge and you may be ok.
