The Yardworks Brass 1/2-in Female End Garden Hose Repair Coupling repairs cut or torn hoses to extend their life. It is an ideal hose repair accessory found in the garden shed of every DIYer. You can easily replace the faucet end of any 1/2-inch garden hose with this heavy-duty hose repair. Built from high-quality brass, the female hose mender is durable and long-lasting. The solid machine construction ensures crush-proof technology, so you can use the mender without worrying about bends or cracks. The heavy-duty stainless steel clamp secures the hose and provides a tight connection. The hose coupling features Yardwork's premium-grade washer that is conditioned to hold its shape for the optimal seal. To repair a broken hose, simply cut a few inches back from the area where the hose is damaged and slide the mender inside it before tightening it. This garden hose repair should be used for cold water and outdoor irrigation use only.

Q: when you are screwing it on to the hose,does it turn,or do you have to move the whole hose?

A: I think I know what you mean, in that the coupling consists of two pieces. Once the male end has been fitted into the hose, the female connector can be threaded onto the drain nozzle freely without having to turn the whole hose as well.
