Yardwork snow blower

Easy to use, works well and batteries run for 40 minutes when fully charged. Light weight but just s good as the gas snow blower.

They don't have replacements

Worst purchase ever.
I bought this machine and after just 3 years the batteries wore out, even though the product comes with a 5-year warranty. Unfortunately, because I no longer have the receipt, they refused to replace the batteries, which is extremely disappointing.
On top of that, I now have to buy two new batteries, and the original ones that came with the machine were 5.0Ah, but they no longer sell them. Instead, I’m forced to buy 6.0Ah batteries, which I don’t believe is ideal or healthy for the machine. To make matters worse, these batteries are way too expensive.
Overall, very poor customer support and an unnecessary hassle for something that should have been covered under warranty.
Would not recommend this product

So far, so good, not great on inclines

I've only had the need to use this a few times so far this winter. The good: clears quite well, battery lasts long enough for 2-3 clears on a 50' gravel driveway. Overall, happy with performance, and it's relatively quiet. It is heavy and unwieldy if you have any sort of an incline, which is rough in fresh snow. It'll definitely get me through this winter (and hopefully many more!) but I wish it was a little more maneuverable over imperfect terrain. My driveway is gravel, has a fair bit of incline, and unfortunately has some ruts that I couldn't deal with before the snow started - so it is a WORKOUT with the weight and general inability to do even fairly wide turns.

Honestly this machine performs almost as well as a two stage. First snow fall here in Barrie Ontario and the snow was a bit wet it did struggle a bit but I saw others with gas powered 2 stage snow blower cursing because their snow blowers kept getting clogged. This little guy tosses the snow really far. I had 2 and half feet of snow in my back yard and needed to make a path to my shed. No problem this machine cut through it and made a path like a champ. Really good machine for the value. Depending on your size of driveway you might want another set of batteries though. No problem for me I have the yard works lawn mower that came with the a 4ah and the leaf blower that came with a 4ah. So yah I am good to go for snow blowing 40x55 foot driveway. Used all last winter and the heavy snow fall in Barrie this winter so far. Really good product.

A: Hello Brad, Thank you for your questions. This tool will not be self propelled and it would have a standard push mower. Since the tool had a 96V motor it would require two 48V batteries docked on at one time to function. Thank you for choosing Yardworks!

Q: Can you put skis on it to keep it higher? My laneway is old and bumpy I get stuck everywhere with it. I need to lift it off the ground some but it's too hard to push! Just used it for the first time and there is no ajustements under it. Suggestions?

A: Consider tipping the tool forward while the auger is running. The rubber paddle will make contact with your driveway/surface, pulling the tool forward. This should help you navigate the tool with ease.

Q: Do the two batteries have to be the same? Just wondering if I could swap out the two 5 amp batteries with a two and a five that I have from other Yardworks tools.

A: I have 2ah and a 4ah Battery. I placed them in the snowblower and it operated for around 11 min. Obviously the 2ah battery died first and then the snowblower stopped operating.

A: I don't know why they made the wheels so tiny. It is hard to push this thing up a hill or on anything but a very smooth surface. Otherwise works great.

Q: Your manual for the Yardworks 96 V 21-in snowblower states that machine won't work if batteries colder than -20 C. In Winnipeg it gets much colder. So, can I use the machine to say -30 outside temp.

A: Hello Nashi, thank you for your question. We recommend reading the Owner's manual carefully. There is a warning that states the following:WARNING: The battery packs will be too cold to be used if they have been left in an environment with too low temperature (less than -20 degrees Celsius) for a long time. The battery packs need to be warmed up before use. Some parts of the snowblower may freeze under extreme temperature conditions. Do not attempt to operate the snowblower with frozen parts. If the parts freeze while the snowblower is in use, stop the snowblower, remove the battery, and inspect for frozen parts. Free all parts before restarting or operating the snowblower. Never force controls that have frozen. For warranty eligibility criteria and questions, please contact our Solution Center Team at 866-523-5218 Monday through Friday from 9 am until 6 pm EST.
