Practical but not strudy

Not bad for a small yard, appreciate the adjustable handle and head whidth. The metal tines pick up surface thatch pretty well, BUT the plastic adjustment piece does not hold strongly and the rake keeps deforming itself when applying pressure while raking. I have to hold the fastener on the handle so the tines stay in place. So, okay for a budget tool with thatch, great for leaves and lightweight debris.

Q: I bought this rake yesterday and I don't know how to open the tines (it says from 71/2" to 21").....all I seem to do is extend the handle.

A: Thumb screw loosens and you can slide the bracket. The farther you slide it up towards the handle, the wider the steel tines fan out.
