Replacement of log pusher with duo-cut blade - 0

Impossible to replace the installed log pusher with the duo-cut blade with standard sockets and wrenches. You cannot access two of the nuts without special tools. Very poor design for something most purchasers would want. At the very least it should have came configured this way. Again poor design.

Great little splitter

Bought this after I received my wood for the winter. Some logs were way too big too fit in a wood stove. This log splitter gave quiet a performance. I am very happy with it. I am now using it in the basement. Great quality for the price. My only negative thing about it, is the pedal. They could have put the cable a few inches more and it would have been great.

Dans un commentaire on dit que ça prend une générratrice de 10,000watts pour faire fonctioner cette fendeuse, alors que quand on la branche sur une prise AC ça ne prend que 1800watts (120v X 15amps = 1800watts) Je crois qu'une génératrice de 2000watts ferait le travail .

Q: How many watts does it draw? Can a 2000 watt generator power it?

A: The output power of this machine is 1300W, however the vendor does not know whether the 2000watt power generator is workable or not, they don’t have such implement.

A: We advise not to use this splitter on an elevated stand as the cord likely won’t be long enough to reach the ground and allow for safe operation of the splitter. The cord must be this length as per CSA regulations.

A: The foot pedal has a 1 foot cable. A longer cord for this splitter isn’t available – the cord must be this length as per CSA regulations. Q: How well does this split wet wood?

A: Basically, the efficiency to split wet wood versus dry wood is different. To split a dry wood, it splits it at the very beginning. But for wet wood, it lasts to the end. It means to split wet wood will take more longer time than dry woods. But we don’t have data to show it because the different situation (diameter/ length/ Wet degree) will have different results.
