Buy a different machine!

Purchased about 4 or so years ago. Worked fine until now - the strap no longer coils back into place making the machine worthless. Opened it up to see if it was fixable; it wasn’t. Very lightly used and now headed for the garbage.

pretty decent rower

very quiet rowing machine. fairly easy to put together and folds easily for storage. the screen face could be better and larger font--you have to stop rowing and come forward to see what it says. the plastic covering the screen is flimsy and awkward to read given all the great technology these days.

Very well made with lots of programmes but settings are too light for us. Not enough resistance for seasoned rowers.
Folds to a very compact and easy to move unit.
Would be great for someone starting out.

A: The Xterra ERG400 Rower is equipped with a 5kg flywheel that provides a combination of magnetic and air resistance. Specifically, the flywheel is manufactured in metal with added plastic fan blades creating the magnetic and air resistances respectively.

A: We have no standard way to measure the noise output of this product. The product was designed to be quiet enough to talk or to watch TV while exercising. We encourage you to visit a Canadian Tire store that has the item on display to try it and see if it suits your needs.

Q: Can this be adjusted to be used as a paddling ERG as well as a rowing ERG?

A: This rower can only be used as a rowing exercise unit. The body will go back and forth on the rail with the seat and arms pulling on the handle for a rowing motion. The feet are stationary.

Q: Miles to KM When I reset the values I can see the distance can be in KM or Mies. But by default it's in Miles. How do you setup the distance in KM, I can't find it the manual. Thanks.

A: Press the UP and ENTER keys at the same time and hold for 3 seconds to change KM to Mile.
