YES, IT'S SQUIRREL PROOF!!

I love this feeder and so do the birds. I'm ordering a second one because one just isn't enough for all of the birds that flock to my yard. It's the only feeder that I have to be completely squirrel proof!

Stopped squirrel taking seed

Purchased this Squirrel proof bird feeder to upgrade cylinder feeder. Witnessed squirrel climbing up shepherds hook and hand but by feet to take bird feed. Since I switched to this feeder, no more squirrel theft. Squirrel gave up in frustration, and hasn’t returned. Highly recommend!

Best Feeder Around!

We bought this one a few years ago and nary one squirrel has infiltrated it. The birds gather like it's their morning meeting before heading off for the day. I'm planning on buying another one very soon.

I bought this feeder 6 weeks ago and the birds quit coming. Very disappointing. I’m not sure what the problem is but I would not buy one again. Not goi g to say not to buy it, but beware

Q: What about pigeons are they too heavy for the mechanism

A: we've never had pigeons - we have had mourning doves which seem similar, but they don't seem to like perching on the feeder... they prefer staying on the ground and picking up anything the other birds toss away. I would suspect weight-wise they would be similar to starlings/grackles, and one can perch but as soon as another bird tries perching the mechanism closes.

A: Well assuming it does keep our very intrusive squirrels out (that one has been the only one to do it for us after many years of trying), I would assume it will work with rats also. Similar size and weight. But I don't know your rats. ;)
