WORX WX746L.9 MAKERX 20V Hot Glue Gun (Tool Only)

While I've not used the glue gun as much as some of the other tools, it has come in handy for a couple of projects so far. I am pleased by how quickly it gets up to temperature, and the ease of handling it. Like all the Makerx tools, it is well designed, and feels good in the hand. The trigger is easy to manage, making it easy to get the glue "just" where you want it. The small glue sticks do get used up pretty quickly, so this probably isn't the best choice for larger projects, but for small, precision projects, this is perfect. My last project was constructing a box to hold a 3D printed stencil for painting text on Chromebook tops using spray paint. The glue gun allowed me to flow glue precisely to adhere the stencil between layers of the box. I was happy with the performance of the tool and the outcome of the project. In summary, if you have the Makerx platform, the glue gun is a no-brainer! I recommend it and consider it good value for money.

The glue gun is very simple to use, is lightweight, and completes my Makerx craft kit. It heats quickly and provides a nice flow of glue that is neither too thick nor too thin. The one thing that caused me to not give it five stars is the placement of the on/off button. I accidentally hit the button when I use the gun and don’t realize I’ve turned it off. Other than that, I’m very satisfied and have recommended it to the fellow crafters in my craft club.

I used this on a craft product that I was having a hard time getting the glue to stick. Also we take along in camper never know when you need it to fix something. Compact in size, but just right size to work very well. Love the big glue sticks it comes with.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 20V MakerX hot glue gun has some really great features and some not so great PROS 1. It heats up in 25 seconds 2. Will automatically shut off when left idle 3. Delivers a thin stream off glue. CONS 1. The tool itself is a very odd shape and tough to hold 2. Your fingers or palm sits right on the power button. Constantly shutting it off. 3. It is in no way "cordless". You need the cord to attach gun to battery hub and battery. In summary, if the design were a bit more user friendly, it's a knock out of a hot glue gun.

The gun shuts off automatically after 10 minutes of non use, which is great for me because sometimes I get caught up in a project or distracted and completely forget to turn it off.
