The Worx WG583.9 40V Power Share Cordless Blower/Vac/Mulcher has three times the functionality of your everyday leaf blower and twice the performance. This 3-in-1 leaf blower vacuum & mulcher uses two 20V batteries and a high-efficiency brushless motor to drive this enormously useful yard clearing system. Gone are the days of raking all the leaves in the yard into piles, then stuffing those piles into bags, then taking those bags to the curb or a disposal site. This leaf blower mulcher blows all the leaves into piles with much less work than using a rake. Then its one-touch tool-less change system turns this leaf blower into a leaf vacuum so you can suck them all up. Then the leaf mulcher functionality chops them down into 1/12th their original size, so instead of having 12 bags of yard debris, you only have one! It takes a chore that used to take all day and chops it down into a much quicker task. This leaf blower vacuum pumps out 350 CFM on high and 200 CFM on low, at 185 or 116 MPH for an impressive amount of air volume when in its leaf blower mode. It weighs only 8.4 lbs. (5.5 lbs. bare) in leaf blower mode, and just 11.5 lbs. (8.6 lbs. bare) in leaf vacuum mode. Plus, there’s no cord to trip over.     Great machine but battery doesn’t last long. It’s powerful and both the blower and mulcher are great. However, the batteries lasted 20 mins so getting a small yard done takes all day given recharging takes about 2 hours. 2 hours to charge for 20 mins of power

    • A: I've had this product since it released and performance is great and it definitely works but the problem for many is the battery life because it comes with two 4ah batteries which is fine but if you have some serious yard work to do then this tool is almost useless unless you have the 8ah batteries which I have and worx didn't have at the time of release for this product. I think most complaints site wide any product will be battery life and that's because some product like blowers scooters, and lawn mowers obviously use more power than most tools and people have products from years ago because that's the benefit of the system of using the same batteries but that's also the problem because some will try to use 2ah or 4ah batteries and be disappointed with certain products as well as not realizing these are essentially the same batteries you would use for a drill and adapting them to work across all different tools mean some products will have higher consumption than others and you will need more batteries because these are technically only 18v with small ah which makes up the total energy their able to store so unless worx moves to a higher voltage like 60v which they tried to do in the pass by offering 56v tools (I dont think the market was ready as it didnt sell well) but only offering 2.5ah and never expanded the platform but instead doubling down on the 20v platform (which was smart at the time)

    • A: Miy WG583.9 is not all plastic - it has a metal center that looks somewhat like a blender or ice crusher blade.  This pretty much shreds anything that can be mulched so I have not had many blockages!  Only thing that plugs it up are large matted clumps of wet leaves that pack in the tube.

One option to avoid using the collection bag is to add a hose‑based collection system, and with the WG583 that option is the WORX LeafPro Universal Collection System (WA4058). When the WG583 is set to vacuum mode, the WA4058 connects at the vacuum outlet and replaces the shoulder bag with a flexible hose that directs leaves straight into a trash can or leaf bin. This setup is designed for high‑volume leaf cleanup, allowing you to keep working without constantly stopping to empty a small bag. Leaves are still mulched inside the WG583 before traveling through the hose, which helps reduce volume, but the real benefit is continuous collection into a much larger container. The WG583 is designed to vacuum leaves and light yard debris, but sweet gum balls are much heavier and harder than what the tool is intended to collect. It may occasionally lift one if it’s mixed loosely with dry leaves, but it is not recommended to use the WG583 for picking up sweet gum balls. Before vacuuming or mulching, it’s also important to remove sticks, twigs, and any harder debris, since these can interfere with suction or potentially damage the mulching system.
