Purchased this to replace 4 cycle gas trimmer. Do not own a big yard anymore so figured I'd try battery operated. Love how light it is and battery seems to last a good deal of time, takes me 10 minutes to trim grass and battery still full. As others mentioned believe you'd get about 40 minutes with 2 amp battery provided. However as mentioned elsewhere, the trim line does not reach end of plastic guard, about 1 inch shy which I'm not a fan of. Also, when extendable shaft is locked in place it does not move up and down but notice the slightest bump on the guard will rotate it horizontally (this is needed to switch between trimmer and edger) which when locked shouldn't. Hoping I'm missing something but as noted in reviews the instructions provided are an embarrassment.
Time will tell and got on sale. 3 uses later and already regretting purchase and would bring back if possible. Hoping just a learning curve issue lol.

Q: I just got the WG162 out of the box, how do I tilt the head? It is in a straight line out of the box.

A: If you have the machine in the position it was in out of the box and have the safety guard attached, lay it on the floor with the black safety guard down flat with the handle out to your right. Lightly step on the guard with your left foot to hold it in place and with your right hand take hold of the shaft and lift upward. It might feel as though it will not move but it will ratchet through several positions on the way to vertical. Once you have it vertical, take hold of the black twisting piece in the middle of the shaft and pull upward. You will feel the shaft give an inch or so allowing you to turn the handle a quarter turn to the left. You are now in the trimming position and can adjust the angle down to the angle comfortable for you.

A: Hello Moon. The model and the serial number is located directly on the trimmer shaft towards the bottom in a small black tag label. The model(SKU) number will begin with WG## the serial number will begin with a year. Q: Are you supposed to leave battery pack in the charger (plugged in) when not in use?

A: Great question, we do not recommend leaving the battery attached to the charger when plugged in. After the battery is fully charged, remove it off the charger or unplug the charger from the socket.
