Huge Disappointment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was in the market to replace an aging Worx WG772 model and settled on the WG751. While I expected there to be a drop in performance based on the voltage difference, I was not prepared for how drastic that drop in power was. Where the 772 model would power through even the tallest of grass in my yard, the 751 barely seems to reach top running speed let alone its ability to cut grass of any substantial thickness or height. I could say the 751 performs admirably on a short grass height, but that kind of defeats the purpose of having a mower, particularly when weather sets in and puts a person behind schedule with regard to lawn care. Additionally, the design of the battery compartment leaves a lot to be desired. I wouldn't say by any means I have large hands, but the act of pressing the release button on the batteries and trying to pull them out of the small compartment is no easy task. The push button release found on the 772 model was a great feature and it's sad to see it was not carried over to this, or perhaps other Worx models. I have many Work tools, both hand tools and yard tools, and have been happy with all my purchases but this model leaves me feeling flat and wanting for more. I regret making this purchase and wish I still had my 772 model. I may have to consider jumping up to the 80v version to meet my needs as this model just isn't enough. To end on a good note, I do enjoy the dual charging system...something I wish I had with the 772 model.

Very disappointed

I was looking forward to trying this mower. I have been happy with Worx equipment in the past and currently use the trimmer, hedge trimmer and pruning saw. This mower will not even come close to mowing our lot and it needs two charged batteries to run. Yesterday it couldn't even mow everything with two sets of fully charged batteries. I had to finish with the old gas mower which took around 45 minutes to mow everything. Definitely disappointed. Will try to return.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Battery issue if you have any hand defects

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used to have a larger powered Worx and absolutely loved it. My riding mower isn’t working and had been wanting another push mower so there isn’t as much to weed eat. I jumped on line and ordered the WG751.3 mower. It’s not as powerful as I’d like while having to mow both my yards with it atm. It’ll be fine when I get my riding mower fixed. My real issue is taking the batteries out of the mower. I have MS and have hand dexterity issues. I get wore out mowing because of my MS and then I end up standing on my head forever trying to get the batteries out of the mower. I don’t see why they had to make it quite so difficult. As it gets hotter my health will be worse and I’ll be lucky if I don’t fall out trying to get the batteries out to charge while I rest.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Worst Quality Ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this mower less than a year ago. Came with a wheel with a stripped locking nut. Fixed that myself but just today the other rear wheel the welded pin sheered off. There are 2 good things about the mower: 1. Cuts fairly even, 2. The batteries last till they are fully dead.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: How well does it perform?  How long do the batteries last while mowing?

Q: I'm looking for a battery mower, a string trimmer, blower, and hedge trimmer but I want to purchase everything of the same voltage so the batteries are interchangeable but I don't see all four products with the same voltage.

  • A: All of our current 20V and 40V tools use 20V batteries and will all be interchangeable. Please note, depending on the mower, it may require a higher amp 20V battery like the 4.0 or 5.0 ah.

Q: Will a Yardworks 40Volt Lithium battery fit and work with this lawnmower. I love my Yardwork snowblower and the durability of the battery. Looking to buy a lawnmower that will use the same battery.

  • A: That is a great question! Unfortunately the Yardworks batteries and WORX batteries are not compatible with each other.

Q: I have a 40v, 20" lawnmower plus string Trimmer and blower. I'd like to add a hedge Trimmer to my arsenal. Is there a 40v hedge Trimmer with tool only. Don't think I need another 2 batteries & charger

  • A: Hello There! Thank you for your question. We do have tool only's of two different models! We have our WG286.9, which is a 40v Nitro Hedge trimmer. The other model will be WG284.9, this is a standard 40v hedge trimmer. Both will be 24" long and 40v, but the biggest difference between the tools will be the WG286.9 has a brushless motor and will carry a 5-year warranty rather than a 3-year like the WG284.9. I have them both linked so you can look at them!
