A decent camp blanket from Woods

I bought this blanket on clearance while on my way to a fall weekend camping at Rondeau. I didn't have a camp blanket in my kit at the time and since the temperatures were forecasted to be in the low single digits, I thought it would be good to have one. Sitting by the campfire in my Woods Mammoth chair with this wrapped around me, it was very cozy. The only thing I would change that would make it a little better is if one side of it was a warm and soft flannel or fleece type material as opposed to both sides being the slippery nylon exterior sleeping bag type of material. I guess the trade-off is it cleans up easier and doesn't attract dirt or insects to get stuck on it like flannel or fleece would. It's a good blanket to have in your camping kit and while it overall size could be a little larger, it worked well for me and actually rolled up and went back into the bag nicely. As with anything at Canadian Tire, wait for it to go on sale and make sure to get your Triangle Rewards offer points for it :).

Bought this blanket for extra warmth when tent camping. Pros: very warm and lightweight. Cons: very slippery material, probably not fireproof. Overall, would recommend for cold nights at the campsite, just not too close to the fire!

Sadly this blanket just isn’t useable. It is so slippery that it won’t stay on anyone or anything. It has almost slipped of us and into your fire pit several times and ends up on the tent floor if we try to sleep with it.

No, I do not recommend this product.
