    Meh

I purchased this tent on sale for a two week camping trip to a remote island. The pros: Sturdy aluminum poles, Rain screen covers to the ground, Seems like it would keep fall and winter elements out The cons: For summer camping it was too hot. You can only really get air flow in one direction. The little vents on the sides didn't contribute a noticeable difference to cool it. The doors were difficult to open in spots which leads me to believe they will tear in the future. The roof poles are nearly impossible to get into the Y attachment. Hexagon footprint left us with lots of unusable space. A big con is that my tent had manufacturing defects in the rain coating, I attempted to return but Canadian Tire would only exchange after lots of haggling. I kept having to remind them it was defective. For that reason I will never buy a big ticket item from them again. They didn't want to honour the warranty three weeks after purchase. I did lots of research before choosing this tent and found it very disappointing. For the price I wouldn't recommend it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I purchased this tent on sale a few weeks ago.First time set up was in the rain (Bummer to say the least) It rained pretty much all weekend,But we stayed high and dry throughout. The wind really picked up late Saturday afternoon and peoples tents were unhooking and flipping over,If not completely flying off a few yards. This tent barely budged.End result....I'm glad i bought it and would recommend it.....PS the interior is massive with lots of room.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought this to use as a FOUR season tent and took it winter camping last weekend. 1)First of all I set the tent up in my house and had problems with the main poles which are very awkward to stand up with only one person, (Instructions recommend two people to set up). 2)The orange ground poles both left and right center of tent that fasten into the two orange cross poles that fit through the sleeves on the mid tent roof on either side. When attaching on either side. I tried the pole on both left side and right side to see IF they matched better with one side or the other. The holes that are drilled on the Tee portion of center ground pole are drilled at an angle and it is difficult to insert the two roof cross poles properly and tend to require the joint to be put in a excessive bind in order to get the cross poles to locate and insert into the Tee portion with the angled holes correctly. 3) The ground stakes are absolutely useless when attempting to pound them into frozen ground. They bend very easily.(Keeping in mind this is a FOUR season tent to be used in winter). (Inadequate) 4) The tent door zippers tend to bind up regularly and are difficult to close at times.(Expect zipper failure) 5) The bag the tent came in has been used two times and the seams splitting apart. (Inadequate)

No, I do not recommend this product.

I just came back from a camping trip and my overall impression is that it is very well built! the only problem is that the vents let flies in between the rain fly and the mesh roof. my tent also did not come with a partition like it should, or so I heard so. I blame Canadian tire for the missing partition

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    • A: There's 2 versions of this tent, the original and an updated 2016 model. The original model footprint is 14'x10', tent is 12'x10’ with a 4’ vestibule at front and no back door. The ground mat would be the same 12'x10' with corners tucked under the tent. The updated model footprint is 20'x10', tent is 12'x10’ with two 4’ vestibules at front and back. The ground mat would be 12'x10' with corners t

Q: Hi, is the interior length 14' or is the exterior 14' which includes the coverage area for the fly? I ask this because on the actual product found in the store it say the total length including the fly is 14' but on your website only the interior dimensions are 14'.

    1 Answer
    • A: The 14’ does include the vestibule living area. The tent sleeping quarters is 10’ L x 12’ W at its furthest point, but only 10’ W of sleeping space.
