Great little backpack for a short hike or snowshoeing

Great little backpack. I was looking for something lightweight for going on a hike or snowshoeing of around 2 to 4 hours. This has enough room for a water bottle or thermos and a few light snacks or a light meal of sandwiches and fruit and granola bars. I love that you can secure it around your hips and chest, so you don't have to keep adjusting the shoulder straps. The built-in whistle was a great little added feature, took me a bit to find it, lol, but it's well placed and seamlessly integrated into the straps, you never know when you might need it, very thoughtful addition. A very good price for what you get and I needed. I wasn't needing something for day long trekking of several hours or overnight camping.

A: Yes, it fits on a plane overhead luggage compartment including the smaller Air Canada Jazz planes which I used to travel to Vancouver island.
