These tarps were a perfect size to easily add as sides to our Woods pop up canopy tent on a rainy evening so we could stay dry and warm enjoying a fun evening of cards and snacks while camping.

Worth the heavier weight for the durability

The O'Hara tarp is slightly heavier than some more expensive backpacking tarps out there but it was worth it's weight when a big thunderstorm hit this past weekend. It rained heavy for 3-4 hours and the tarp help up well. The color is more blue than the photo on the website but same build. It is slightly difficult to put back in the holder it came with but with some careful folding, you can get it back in.

Tarp withstood a severe thunderstorm/downburst

I bought one of these a few years ago and don't usually write reviews but felt this tarp outperformed on my recent backcountry kayak trip. I set it up on a ridgeline with prussik loops to hold it in place over my tent. The corners were tied out to trees. Later that night a severe thunderstorm went through that was classified as a downburst so extremely severe winds. As I sat in my tent pushing outward on the corners so the poles would not collapse inward and snap, I thought for sure the tarp would be shredded. The next morning I stepped out into sunshine and tarp was completely intact. No damage at all. Very impressive. I highly recommend.

Very compact compared to traditional tarps and worth the value in price!

I normally would take a regular tarp to my backpacking trips however this tarp is super lightweight and very packfriendly for the cost. If you are looking to mostly cover your tent during rainy periods, this tarp is perfect! Please note that it is also on the smaller side as it covered my 3 person tent fully with only a bit of added room underneath for maybe a chair.

Q: How many grommets available for attachment points? Is it just one grommet per corner? One per side as well or does the longer side have two for extra strength? The photos provided doesn't really show the product well.

A: One grommet per corner, one center of each side, plus a loop in the center of the tarp. Yes the question is 2 years old, but the other answer is misleading and may make people think there are only 4 tie out points.
