2 clips broken on 3 nights use

We used this tent only 3 times at simple (not backwoods) campsites. The 1st night one of the buckles broke, the 3rd night one of the clips that attaches the tent to the poles broke. I have setup many tents in my life and was doing it slowly and carefully. Tent worked well but now it will only continue to break due to these weak points. Could not recommend.

Nous l'avons monté dans le salon car aucune photo ne montre l'arrière de la tente.
Surprise et déception la toile du dôme ne couvre pas la porte arrière, vraiment dommage!
arceaux aluminium un atout, espace intérieur satisfaisant.
La description devrait être corrigée afin de mieux décrire ce produit et permettre de faire un achat éclairé.

Not a full fly, unstable design

I loved the mesh inside, how good of a view out it is with only one pole going over, and no see um mesh is perfect, but the tent cant stand up on its own and will collapse if not pegged out properly. So if ypur pegs fail the whole thing might collapse on you. Bit of a design flaw. Also, the images make it look like it is a full fly, but it isnt. The back part of the fly is open to near the top, leaving that wll vulnerable to water bleeding through in a rain. If there is a chance of rain, a full fly is always strongly recommended. Would never have bought if I knew those serious issues.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Hi there, thanks for your review of the Woods O'Hara 4-Person Tent. This tent is NOT free-standing, meaning that it requires stakes and guy lines to be affixed to stand up properly. This design is intentional to make the tent lightweight by reducing the amount of poles that are required. The tent has a full fly covering the entire top of the tent with an awning entrance at the rear as you have noted. The covered door under the rear awning is waterproof so this tent is fully protected from rain (from above or sideways).
