We have used this product in the past, also purchased from Canadian Tire, for our chafer dish at family dinners. Again, the product worked well, as advertised and we will buy it in the future for our chafer dish needs.

These did the trick. They are intended for camping, but they worked well to heat chaffing dishes. I would have given 5 stars, but nobody in the store knew what I was talking about, so it took awhile to find them

I used both on chafing, it works well, there were no smoking smell, the only point was the bis black spot under the chafing. but it is pretty common as well.

Q: i would like to know whether i can use this and roast marshmallow directly over the flame and that the fuel/fume is not toxic when the food is in contact. The product info is not clear enough on this subject.

A: I wouldn't do that. If for some reason you need to make marshmallows that bad and dont have a fire, use a real stove or something. These thing are not meant for that and would likely leave you eating gross soot covered mellows.

Q: Does this give off any dangerous or toxic fumes. Can it be used in a small enclosed space such as a small cabin or R.V/TRAILER

A: Hello, This product is the Propylene Glycol Fuel. This product is not toxic therefore does not give off dangerous or toxic fumes. However, every chafing fuel is meant to be used in a well ventilated area. We never suggest using it in a small confined space. Thanks

A: This should be used as a heat source to heat/keep food warm. We do not recommend that you eat food directly from it.
