Good auger for the price

So far so good. Once I figured out the starting procedure it works well. I drilled around 20 holes and no issues.

Never buy this auger

My son bought this auger after after drilling less than a hundred holes the welding on the bottom broke and the whole shaft bent. The customer service sucks and they said they can do nothing to help as it was past the one year warranty.

I've never used a power auger before buying this one. Pretty much the cheapest one I could fine. I had to drill a lot of holes for work. I usually just use a manual auger. Glad I got the power auger. First time using it today. Drilled 183 holes through 22 inch thick ice, took 2 hrs and 15 mins and about 1.5 tanks of fuel.

3 years in and it's still good

mine runs best when using premixed fuel, and the only con aside from it being heavy is that the blades will be fine for 1 winter if you go out maybe less than 5 times and drill on average 4 holes per outing. However, once they're dull, it's very hard to drill a hole. They say you can't ReSharpen chipper blades, but you can.

Had this for a couple of years, has only started twice despite maintaining it properly, fresh gas etc. New carburetor 2nd winter.

Q: I got one of these augers second hand and am wondering what kind of carburetor I would need to replace the original. It didn’t come with a user manual.
