Does the job

I actually used this to entice the mice across the sticky paper products. I didn't like the idea of randomly finding the dead mouse at some point, so I placed these at the end of the company's sticky mouse strips. The scent of the warfarin enticed the mice, and they got caught on the strips, which made for easy disposal.

I returned this product after reading full directions. Looking for something that eliminates rodents quickly. This product requires several feedings before they are slowly poisoned then die (somewhere in my walls!)

Q: What happens if the mouse dies in your house and your dog chews on it

2 Answers
  • A: Response from the manufacturer is misleading. Ask any veterinarian what they think about this and you will get a very different answer. The dose of warfarin that was fatal to the mouse (by blood hemorrhaging) will be transferred to any animal that eats the dead mouse (dog, cat, wild animals, etc) and has the potential to make that animal very sick. Stay away from these poisons unless you have a way to contain the mice.

Q: If I have a pet rabbit is it in danger if he eats the poison? Additionally, would the mouse droppings contain enough to harm my pet in any way?

2 Answers
  • A: The warfarin is a blood thinner. The warfarin blocks should be kept out of reach of any pet, including rabbits. If it was a small, young rabbit, ingesting 1 block could be enough to cause death. I do not believe a rabbit that ingested mouse droppings from a mouse that has ingested warfarin would have any effect. As for ingesting the mouse droppings, it is possible to get secondary poisoning but the rabbit would have to ingest a considerable amount of dropping for that to be the case.

Q: Will this work on pesky squirrels?

2 Answers
  • A: No the bait station is enclosed with only a small hole to allow mice inside. The hole would be too small for squirrels to get at the bait. Also I would not recommend trying to poison your neighborhood squirrels. In most jurisdictions it is illegal to even live trap squirrels so I suspect that poisoning them could get you in trouble. I suggest you look at more humane ways to counter your squirrel problem.

Q: I want to ask a question about the Wilson Warfarin Mouse Poison Bait Station. I’ve only read from the reviews. I’d like to know how do you know if there is a mouse caught inside the station. I don’t want to see it.Once a mouse goes in trap, can it get out?

  • A: the traps just have a block of poison. The mouse does not get trapped in the station. They eat the bait and go off to die somewhere else.

Q: So are there going to be dead mice around my house ?

  • Wilson Consumer Service

A: Hello Rachel, Wilson Warfarin Mouse Poison Bait station is for indoor use only. If mice should die in the wall from the bait, there should be very little smell as this product does cause the rodents to dry up when dead. Thank you!

Q: Hi, does the poison change the drops colour? I places the stations and now the drops are pale brown and I am not sure if this is what is expected

  • Wilson Consumer Service

A: Hello Trapper 001, The Warfarin is a pale brown colour so it is possible that it affects the colour of the mouse droppings. Thank you

Q: Does the mouse die in the bait station, or is it free to leave after eating the poison?

1 Answer
  • Wilson Consumer Service

A: hello Jukebox89, The mouse will not die in the bait station. When the mouse eats a lethal dose (usually 2-3 feedings) he will die within 7 to 10 days Thank you
