West & Arrow Merkury Fairy Lights with 90 LED's, Warm White

Pop in to Canadian Tire to pick up some of these pretty Fairy Lights! In only a few minutes ( open package, insert batteries …) one can easily create a delightful setting anywhere indoors to celebrate anything and everything, and to simply add cheer to the dark days of winter. I recommend them.

I took a chance on these, but the first time we used one line, plugged into a USB plug, they quit working, and we smelled a burning smell. I agree that if so many are reporting this they shouldn't be still on the shelves!

After only a few days the strand suddenly went out. I looked at it and one of the bulbs was glowing red and smoking. Thank goodness I was in the room because I don't know what would have happened.

I bought 2 sets of these lights less then 2 weeks ago as have had them previously and they worked well every time until now! I do love my fairy lights! The first set turned on and then went puff , some black bulbs on the string within a few minutes! I had put it on a usb charger that worked for everything else! I was going into town the following morning so replaced them. The second set worked for a couple of hours and then just quit on me! And yes a couple of burnt bulbs too! Never had this happen before! I again returned them a couple of days later. Received another replacement. I put a set of fairy lights on different usb chargers, one in a wall unit and it was working perfectly, then went puff too and yes a few more burnt bulbs. Still have it here to replace "again" when I go into town. I still have one set going that I put into a usb charger that I had on another fairy light system from another company and so far, been 3 days now, they are staying lit! I hope so! At least they were last night, I have them all on times for a few hours during the evening hours. The other company's fairy lights that I have had on for years is plugged into the charger that the West & Arrow Merury fairy lights came out of and is not having problems at all while the third set blew bulbs! Makes no sense to me at all! Is there bad batches of these lights being sold???? I am getting embarrassed going to the store to ask for replacements! I thought it was something wrong with all my usb chargers, guess not! Which is a good thing I guess, that it is not my fault! Not sure if I should even try another set after reading all these negative reviews or just get my money back! Extremely frustrating when a product is not working like it is suppose to!

Within less than an hour of use, these lights burnt out, accompanied by a strong electrical burning smell.
