It was fine until it broke

Unfortunately the quality is not good enough for the price. One of the weight plates is useless now because the tabs that the release mechanism connects to broke off. Now the barbell can only be used up to 20lbs.
No, I do not recommend this product.

On clearance for a reason, made of plastic

Plastic handle off. Who makes a dumbbell with flimsy plastic handles? Weider apparently. Basically a throwaway item.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Saves space and works well

Great value with these. I am able to comfortably perform all of my dumbbell exercises with these. I would prefer an equivalent set of hex dumbbells, but they would take up too much space and cost significantly more.

Q: Dumbbell will not adjust. It will do it on one side but when I try the other side it won't move. I've tried doing it reverse and still no movement. It'll only allow me to do 50lbs. The movement bars seem to hit in the middle. Can you help??? I like these

Q: Can this be made to go in 5lb increments by setting each side of the dumbbell differently ( e.g one side at 10 and one at 20 == 15 lbs)? Weight would not be balanced, but does this work?
