Using WD-40 as a penetrate to remove rusty bolts.

I’ve been using WD-40 for years but I just had to relate my last experience in using your product. I was changing an alternator in my car and a bracket I needed to remove had three 10 mm rusty bolts. I couldn’t budge any of them without fear of snapping one or more of them. Then I would have been in big trouble, so I sprayed all of them with WD-40 and let them sit for 15 minutes. Next, with a socket I was able to turn off all three very slowly but without breaking any of them. Good job WD-40.

Expensive, anti consumer bottle, pay 15$ then another 1$ for some eco fees, and it’s not even enough for a single bbq wash. Can’t even reuse the bottle, they designed it to break if you try and remove the top. You are paying for extra plastic to stop you from using the bottle. This has tainted wd-40 reputation, never again.

Q: Can I use this preoduct to clean baked on food and grease on the cast iron grill grates?

A: Yes, the WD-40 Specialist® Cleaner & Degreaser can be used for this application. Simply remove the rack, spray any grime with WD-40® Specialist® Cleaner & Degreaser. Then wait a few minutes and take a wire brush and scrub clean. Rinse thoroughly with clean water afterwards.
