Nothing wrong with the product my issue was the price. These are no more than $2.50 elsewhere and were double that at Canadian Tire. Found them cheaper eat another store and returned the ones I bought at Canadian Tire

Q: Where is the expiration date on this item?

A: Our packaging does not carry an expiry date at this time. As per Canadian regulations, any item with a shelf life over 90 days is not required to carry an expiry date stamp. This will be changing soon and all of our products moving forward will all carry an expiry date on them. Instead of an expiry date we currently use a four-digit lot code indicating date of production used to track each production run done at our factories. Lot codes follow a Julian calendar and should be read as follows: 1st digit represents the year of production (7 = 2017, 8 = 2018 and so on) final 3 digits represent the exact day of the year: 068 represents the 68th day in the year (i.e. 7068 represents March 9th, 2017). You will always find this lot code on the back of each bar, bag, box and tin located inside of a white box above the barcode or printed on a white sticker. For best taste, all of our products have a recommended shelf life of 12 months from date of production. They can of course be safely consumed after 12 months; however, the flavour and texture may be altered. We hope this answers your question.
