No good

This product is not very good. It basically pulls hair out instead of cutting it. Very painful. The beard guards keep falling off making it very inconvenient.

Works well and inexpensive but not easy to operate

Inexpensive, battery operated, but less than convenient to operate(you have to switch between different physical guides instead of turning a dial). Cuts well, though.

Great trimmer

Bought this on the recommendation of a warranty repair shop. He pointed out that I should get a battery powered trimmer because I didn’t use it enough to use a rechargeable one . After all I didn’t use it enough to keep a rechargeable one alive.
Yes, I recommend this product.

A: Hi Savio, Thank you for your question. This is not an easy answer as it depends on your hair length, thickness and style. However, what I can tell you is that this trimmer does cut hair. It is designed for beard trimming and what makes it a beard trimmer more than a hair clipper is that it has a thinner blade which is easier to maneuver in smaller spots so shaping a beard is more easily accomplished. It will cut hair but because the blade is thin, it will take more passes and therefore more time to do a full haircut. We always suggest using a beard trimmer for beards, and a hair clipper for haircuts.....hair clippers are designed more for the larger surface of the head. Q: Bought this a while ago but now the main guard is broken (chipped corner0 and renders it useless to properly trim. Any way to obtain a replacement part?

Q: Is it skin-friendly? Can this be used without any attachment if I want to totally shave off the beard? If it can then does it irritate the skin? Many thanks.

A: Hi Clacker - Thank you for your purchase and your question. This item can definitely be used to take off the entire beard although you will need to shave afterwards....this is not meant as a shaver to "totally shave" off a beard. It will take off most of it, but you would be better advised to use a shaver to finish. You should have no skin issues with this - I have worked at Wahl for 15 years and have never heard a consumer complaint about skin issues with this item. Thank you again - Have a great day!
