Q: How can 4 x 5lbs 4 x 2.5 lbs 2 x 3 lbs bars and nuts = 40 lbs? I have the set that was sold for 30 lbs and I ended up weighing it. I found it was only 20 lbs!

A: Wondering the same when I purchased this set, but, the bars actually weigh 4 lbs each and the set has 4x3lb plates not, 2.5lb plates, so, 4x5lb (20) + 4x3lb (12) + 2x4lb (8) does indeed add up to 40lb for the set.
