Best BBQ You'll Ever Own

I've had this Bbq for a couple of years and it is simply Amazing! The best steaks I've ever eaten have come off this grill. It's easy to use, great for trying new things, and looks stylish. All around a great addition to my outdoor kitchen.

Yes, I recommend this product.

VISION PRO-C KAMADO

I did a lot of research into Kamados before purchasing the Vision Pro-C. After going through several styles of smokers/bbqs, I have finally found one that not only does everything, but does it better than all others also! I have tried an offset smoker/grill, bullet style smoker, a couple different electric smokers and gas grills. This Kamado replaces all of those AND produces better food than all of them. It is very easy to use. I had the important temp settings figured out after 3 uses (225f, 350f and nuclear). Customer service through Vision is stellar as well. The door for the starter iron had a gap in mine when i got it. Emailed Vision and they replied within 10 minutes that they were sending a gasket to fix my problem! With all the accessories that come with this grill ( stand, lava stone, 2nd rack, cover) and its much lower price point than other Kamados I decided to go with this one and I'm very confident that I made the right choice. The drawer that pulls out to empty ash makes it very easy to clean, and the slot for the starter iron makes starting the charcoal very easy. It also handles the cold Canadian climate very well. I just did a prime rib when it was snowing and -10c. I highly recommend this grill.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Must have

Been using this grill/smoker for about 4 years now. Purchased from Canadian Tire because I wanted the "ash drawer" and I must say it makes like easy. Before my cook I use a broken brush handle and stir the remaining coals. That will get the majority of the ash into the tray. Next pull it out and dump it in the garbage. Load up new coal if needed and light with a propane torch. Probably 200+ cooks so far on it and I've made everything from Pizza to brisket to ribs to steaks to burgers and dogs. I have a cracked lava stone (heat deflector), but its still holding together. I'm also due to change the gaskets as well, but that's to be expected with the number of cooks.

Yes, I recommend this product.

  • A: Don't they have chemicals added into them and it will get into your food. Use natural lump hardwood charcoal.

Q: How hot does the outside of the unit get? I am super interested, on the verge of giong down to purchase one of these units. My concern is that it would have to be used on my apartment style balcony. My large propane had no issue but not sure if this unit would be safe to use on balcony.

  • A: I have mine on my wood deck and its fine. Obviously be careful with the hot charcoal. But the outside doesnt get nearly as hot as a gas grill

Q: How long does it REALLY take to get up to cooking heat? I have watched videos and it seems to be anywhere between 5-30 minutes to get it to high heat. For people who actually own one, what is a realistic timeline?

  • A: You can be cooking in about 20 mins. It'll take 5-10 mins to light, then another 10 mins to get to your desired temp and stabilize.

Q: When will you start carrying the 2013 model? The Vision Grills website indicates that there will be an improved 2013 version of this grill (I think the one CT has right now is the 2012 one); there are changes to the controls in the front.
