A: Hi Randy, The container lids are pretty sturdy - tough plastic-like material with a recessed rubber-like seal. I think you would be fine to use the bottom and top within a microwave oven without issue. I would however, not recommend using the lid within an electric or gas oven. The glass seems sturdy enough to withstand the heat from the oven though. I hope that this information is helpful as you make your potential decision to purchase the containers.
