Works well and great range just make sure you speak into the small mic hole not at the speaker and it works great with good clarity on the other end

Low volume. Done radio didn’t work.

Radio isn’t loud enough even when at full volume. One of the radios didn’t even work, right out of the box. Have to have radio almost pressed against your mouth for an audible transmission. Earpiece/mic is satisfactory. Wouldn’t buy again.

So far the radios work good. I wish they used better batteries in these radios. The battery life may last a day, but varies on your usage. I haven't had the chance to use them for long distances, but never believe their specs anyway.

Q: Do these have a low power transmission button? How many watts?

A: The PTT(Push to Talk) button is low power. The BOOST button transmits on high power on those channels allowing for higher power (1-7, 15-22). The PTT button is about 0.4 watts and the BOOST is about 1.0 watts.
