Q: Can it be used on insulated flexible ducts of bathroom exhaust fan My contractor installed a new CT4 roof vent for my bathroom exhaust fan, and used this tape to secure both ends of the insulated flexible duct in the attic. Should be fine right? the product does say moisture resistant and air tight. Thanks.

A: Hi, Red Tuck Tape was designed and CCMC evaluated only for the purpose of seaming building envelopes. We do not recommend any application outside of its intended purpose. That being said, Cantech Foil Tape or Tuck Tape FlexPro would be ideal for HVAC applications. Cantech team

Q: after applied would the tape pull the paint of or leave sticky glue on the surface?

A: Tuck Tape Red Sheathing Tape is designed for only seaming sheathing membranes (building wrap). It has a very sticky permanent adhesive that makes it very difficult to remove once applied. We do not recommend Tuck Tape for painting, a painter's masking tape would be the appropriate tape to use for this application.
