Very unreliable

I bought this snowblower in Nov 2021 and have noting but problems with it. First time using it I had to take it back for repairs as the cables for the gear shift had became loose. So far this year the issues have continued. It had to go back for repair at the start of winter as it wouldn't start. After that repair I used it for 30 mins and it now need to go back for repairs again as it won't start. Very frustrating as you expect a new machine to be reliable.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Good snow blower

Works good but the shifter is still quit stiff when changing gears from forward to reverse. Hopefully this will ease up with use. I’ve never used a snow blower before but I managed to figure out how to use this one fairly easily. I would recommend this product.

A: Thank you for your question. Some 'hunting' at high speed with no load is not uncommon especially when cold. Hunting under load after the engine is warm could indicate an air or fuel restriction. Use Fresh, Ethanol-Free high octane gasoline for best performance. A: I'm using non-ethanol, Unleaded Premium Fuel and 5W 30 oil. Once used for a season I will change to 5W-30 full synthetic.

A: On the machine it says Troy Bilt engine. If you google it it says Powermore or Briggs and Stratton engine is used. Everything I read is that the machine and engine are excellent. On the the best snow blowers.

A: It IS a 243cc engine - I just took delivery last week and I had this very same concern. It is a nice unit - exactly what I had hoped it would be.
