I went to Troybiltbsite hoping for additional information. I realize itbis difficult to convert from elec whats to a hp comparison however would be nice if Troybilt said for instance a 700 watt elec should perform near the power of a 15 hp gas.alsp when you talk about accessories is there a bagger avail, can it haul a roller etc.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    • A: “Generally, lithium battery E riders do not charge in colder temperatures unless they are in a heated, attached garage or heated area under cover. Furthermore, lithium is not a fan of cold weather and performance may be diminished in colder weather. We do not recommend that they are used in winter. You can put a blade on the 42E for summer it is not recommended for winter use. Snow attachments will fit on this unit; it is not recommended to use E-Riders in the winter as performance of the batteries may be diminished in colder weather. We do not recommend using these units in the winter”

Q: how do you store batteries in the winter time would not the batteries degrade over that time in a shed or cold garage

    1 Answer
    • A: Thank you for your question. The battery discharge rate when not in use is very low. For off-season storage, fully charge the unit and keep in a cool dry place with the charger disconnected and the key removed. Fully recharge the battery before returning to service in the spring.
