Best Little Mower

I received this mower as a gift 3 years ago. Best gift ever!!! Easy to run & mow. I have a big front yard and it does great in this area. My backyard is smaller with some tight areas. So, it takes a bit of maneuvering back and forth in order to get these smaller areas. I also have the bagger attachment, which I'm not a big fan on the closure clip. Otherwise I really like this mower and it truly helps me a lot since I'm a senior citizen :-)

New TB30B Small Riding Mower

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like my new small riding mower a great deal. For the small area I have to cut it works like a charm. I have to get used to the turning radius but good so far on the few cuts I have made this season. I will be able to give a better review after a full summer use.

A: Yes there is Reverse. You must come to a full stop and disengage the blades before you can put it in reverse-very annoying.

A: It is automatic. You still have 2 levers to adjust speed and a lever to change from fwd to reverse. Hope this helps.

Q: How often do you change oil. Should battery be brought inside during winter if away for two months?

A: Thank you for your question. Change the break-in engine oil after the first five hours of operation, and then annually or every 25 hours thereafter. Indoor storage of the battery is best practice but not necessary. Fully charge the battery with an automotive style charger before storage or consider a battery tender such as the NOCO Genius2 charger that stays plugged in during storage maintaining optimal battery condition.

A: Hi, I’m going second year with this mower. I take out my battery store in basement. Come spring time I recharge my battery and seems to be working fine with no issues.

Q: Is this the new model that can cut in reverse? The model that is sold in the USA at Lowes has the reverse cutting yellow button feature.

A: Mine is a 2012 model. I disconnected the wire that shuts the engine off. It's located under the seat area. I checked the wiring diagram I downloaded.

Q: Fit through gate? Will it fit through a 40in wide gate. Can't seem to find one in store to measure

A: It is actually 33 inches wide with the discharge chute removed which is easily done. I'm not sure if the mulch kit adds to the width but that, also, can easily be removed.

A: The machine I got came in a huge box. All the bottom stuff is ready to go, but you need to assemble the: Steering wheel (easy) The seat (easy) Discharge chute (easy) Plastic trim that cover back end of engine (easy) Tow hitch plate (easy) The pain in the butt is connecting the battery, I recommend removing the plastic cover, connect the battery BEFORE putting the seat on. Jim
