Toro Power Max Oae 302cc Two-Stage Gas Snowblower, 30-in

So far, this snow blower works very well. It came pre-assembled and the engine oil was already pit onto the oil reservoir. I have used it 4 times, each with varying amounts of snow, some powder and some wet. Starts on first pull every time. The electric start works well, but it's easy to start with the pull cord. The LED light is very bright making it easy to see a wide area in front of the blower when it's dark out. The engine is quite powerful and has had trouble going through deep snow or the snow furrow at the end of the driveway. The 2 stage auger system throws the snow quite far, it's great having 6 forward speeds and 2 reverse speeds. I am able to use the fastest speed with 10-15cm of powder snow, but need to use 2nd, 3rs, or 4th speed for heavier snow. The power steering works well in 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th forward speed, but can be jerky in 5th or 6th forward speed. Similarly, 1st reverse speed is fine with power steering but can be jerky in 2nd reverse speed. The 16 inch tires are great. Handlebar warmers get quite hot and need to be turned off periodically (I'd rather this than not getting warm enough). The joystick control for the shute is a nice to have, but takes a bit of getting used to. One recommendation is to spray the rotating base of the shute with "Fluid Film" which lubricates the turning motion and makes the joystick much easier to use. Overall, the Toro seems to be very well built and easy to use. The design of the cables and shafts is superior to my previous snow blower where the control cables ran all the way from the handlebars down and into the drive cavity. I have a sloped driveway and this Toro handles the incline without hesitation. It would have been nice to be cheaper, but so far I can't complain based on the robustness of the machine. I did manage to purchase the unit on a Canadian Tire 30x points day which softened the blow of the price :-).

Works great. We have a stone driveway and it spits them out easily. Great power.

Great snowblower, lots of power and easy to maneuver. Hand warmers are a bonus

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used the snowblower a couple times already this year. My favorite feature so far is the directional controller it is so fast and easy. The 30 inch machine makes cleaning up faster than my old machines.
