I've only used it once and not for a extended period, I mainly got it for when setting up my car on jackstands, so far far it's working out, I'm not sure how long the velcro will last, other than that they are what they are.

Got these knee pads because I’m an electrician and I love them! I haven’t used these a lot but when I have I absolutely loved them. The heavy duty casing serves as a nice barrier to allow you to knee on anything, whether that be a flat surface like concrete, or a pebbly surface like gravel, without feeling a thing.

I've owned a few pairs of kneepads over the years. My main requirement: durable plastic caps, not foam or leather. This is because I spend a considerable part of my work day kneeling on/sliding around everything from tank floors to metal grating in oil/gas facilities. To that end, the caps on these kneepads could last forever! Foam and even leather shred in no time. However, the velcro/neoprene straps are 'Achilles Heel' of these kneepads. I was a little suspicious even when I bought them and sure enough, not more than a couple of months later, the stitching of the velcro was starting to tear away from the VERY non-durable neoprene. (I was hesitant to buy kneepads with velcro straps in the first place.) Now, a year later, the velcro itself is frayed to the point of no longer holding very well. I think this is mainly a result of - as others have noted - those velcro straps simply not being long enough. These kneepads would be a lot more durable if the thinner, nylon straps were on the top AND bottom, but then the bottom ones might dig into the back of the knees. So that's my experience based upon a lot of different kneepads over the years, and those without velcro straps have lasted me a few years instead of these after only one year. Due to the velcro/neoprene straps, I won't be buying these again.
