Timber Ridge Wood Stove, 2400-sq.ft.

Fantastic wood stove that heats my pre-confederate 2 storey farm house. Takes a while for this beast to heat up (half way through first load of wood) but once it's going it get hot. Not a lot of smoke or no smoke coming in when you first start it. I can load it up before I go to bed and its still going when I wake up. I have nothing negative to say about this stove. Great product.

We’re about 6 weeks into this stove. Will update at end of season. Upgraded and upsized from a similar 10 year old stove. (This model is 3.2 cu/ft. Previous was 2.4 cu/ft) This stove seems to take much longer to come up to temp, but once rolling, it puts out a remarkable amount of heat (surface temps almost 200 degrees F higher) with the same wood load as our previous model. This obviously makes a huge difference. It is already apparent that this stove will have a much longer burn time than we’re used to, which will hopefully allow me to skip that 3:00am refill during the real cold spells. We are only seeing a few -18’s at night right now, but if I load it at midnight, there’s still a great coal bed at 7:00am which jumps back to life with a few new blocks of wood added. Really pleased with that. Downside alert: I read other reviews on these models, and many folks complained about the supplied blower. It IS brutal. If you’re running this stove in your basement where you won’t be disturbed by the noise of the provided blower, it will likely be serviceable. That said, our stove is in the living room, and the constant din of the sound similar to a hairdryer is not something we’re willing to live with. While England Stove Works (the manufacturer) directs you to their website where they will gladly sell you a quieter blower, I wish they gave you the option up front. I had a very quiet and efficient automatic blower on my old (Regency) stove which I pirated and adapted to fit this stove. Much better. Other than that, wonderful stove.
