Product Details

The ultimate overhead rack for loading up your the Thule TracRac SR. Sliding smoothly on separate TracRac Base Rails (sold separately), these racks let you adjust the space between the uprights to fit any size cargo. Each heavy-duty aluminum rack supports up to 1250 pounds, with silver powdercoat finish and stainless steel hardware. The aerodynamic oval crossbars have T-slot tracks and quick-release load stops. The corner-brace uprights ensure rock-solid stability, include tie-down points, and easily removable for access. TracRac SR racks come in compact, full-size and super duty versions, requiring TracRac Base Rails (sold separately). Backed by Thule's lifetime limited warranty.

  • Great racks! I chose this rack because of the ability to slide the racks and it had a option to mount a tool box. Great for carrying a ladder and longer lumber. Needs a torque wrench that can do single digit foot pounds.

Overall, good quality

Rack is well- made.and easy to assemble. The tracks fit into the stake pockets of the truck without any drilling. Like that they allow you to easily adjust the position of the racks relative to the bed. The only thing i wish was improved was to use a hard anodized coating on the racks, like was used on the tracks.

I bought this a few weeks ago, got it installed and love it! It was easy too install and love that I can move them around to fit how I need them for the things I will carry. One thing I would like to see is a different mount for the side of the racks to be able to hang a step ladder on the side. I wish this product was made out of a metal that was not painted, it has already started to peel where ladders set. Don't get me wrong, it is a great system.

I just installed the TracRac SR Overhead rack and it was super easy . I actually did it at night with a flashlight and came out great. They look awesome and love that I can slide them around.

Great racks. I like that the racks can slide and it gives an option for installing a toolbox. I use it to carry a ladder and longer lumber and I like that I can add the cantilever extension to give a little more protection to my sunroof. Really sturdy racks. Requires a torque wrench that can do single digit foot pounds. Was pretty easy for me to install by myself.

Great Rack, Minimal Instructions

It’s a solid piece(es) of hardware. I’m confident it’ll handle the material, and occasionally kayaks, that I’ll put up there. I added the cantilever extension to the forward cross bar. I wish I had known or had read somewhere that it’s much better to to attach the extension “hubs” to the front towers as part of the initial install, vs removing the originals to install later. I’d have waited. A friend, who is more mechanically inclined than me, helped with the install. We were both scratching our heads while reading the minimal instructions. Pay very close attention to the drawings and particularly hole placement. Sometimes it just seemed 50/50%, which way something went.
