Not the best but…

This is certainly not the best quality product out there for the job. As you’ll see there’s multiple reviews talking about appealing. I highly suspect that much of that problem is related to application of this product. Remember, it is a semi transparent stain. Working at thin coat. It should not be “painted” on and if you can’t see the grain or Varai and wood colour after you apply there is too much on it.

Q: Can this product be applied with a sprayer?

Q: This product is an oil based stain, but the recommendations on the can said "Clean Brushes & equipment with soap and water". Is this correct?

Q: Can this be applied in direct sunlight?

A: We DO NOT suggest applying any of our coatings (Thompson's WaterSeal, Krylon, etc..) in DIRECT SUNLIGHT. Early morning or late afternoon is best. The reason for this, is that the sun accelerates the drying time. Consumer will have less time to work the product and may cure too quickly. If they are working early morning, or late afternoon, or in a shaded area, or even a cloudy day this is best. Very important to follow the temperature and humidity guidelines on the label of each product. This affects drying/curing and application times too. The label should be used as a guide for application every time.

Q: how long does this take to dry.And how many square feet will 1 can do? for outside patio

A: Dry time is dependent on temperature and humidity. Both surface and air temperature should above 10 degrees Celsius and less than 35 degrees Celsius. With an ideal temperature and humidity it should dry to the touch in 4 hours. We recommend waiting 48 hours before heavy foot traffic and placing furniture. The coverage for rough wood is approximately 100-150 square feet/gallon and for smooth wood approximately 250-300 square feet/gallon.
