... I've not even had this for a month and it has ceased to power on when plugged in. up until today all previous tests proved to be excellent. Figures that the first time I take it out to use for what it was purchased for, it fails.
Assuming I can find a store that still has one, I'll give it another shot.

Does not work below -5 C.

First one I purchased I had to return it because it would not keep the date and time and the buttons would not always work. Also did not work in cold weather.
The second works but also will not power up if left in the car overnight and temperature drops below -5 C. Was only able to start it up with the reset but would get a low battery warning and it would shut down. When it was warmed up it would work fine and the battery would indicate full charge. ??? Not a useful device for cold weather environment. I was cut off by someone making a left hand turn in front of me and when I needed the camera to have been working it would not turn on. Big fail. I have an HP dash cam and it works even if it is -10C.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Video/still colors have gone purple/green/blue. Soft and hard resets don't cure the problem. Initially I liked it... small and inconspicuous, but now not too useful.

bought 2 4Sight Dash Cam Ponys 2 months ago.....I stopped working and the other desides when it feel like working...sadly I dont have the reciepts anymore.....watch what ya bought there

Q: How many hours will it record on the 8 Gb card? Can a 32 Gb card be used? Also, what happens when the SD card is full? Does it record over the older video automatically or do you have to reset it to do this?

Q: Can the screen be turned off? The display can be quite distracting especially at night.

A: Yes you can. Right after it starts recording press OK button the screen will turn off and Record will continue.

Q: Recording often stops for about 15 seconds Why does the recording sometimes stops for about 15 seconds? Loop is on for every 3 mins

A: The 15 seconds you are referring to is really much shorter. It occurs when the memory card reaches the end of the loop and starts from the beginning.

Q: How good is camera resolution? In event of collisions or driving violations, will the dash camera have enough resolution to record vehicle licence plates pasing by?

Q: How does the LOOP recording work? - LOOP has 4 options: OFF /1/2/3 min - If the camera is recording something of interest then every 1, 2 or 3 min. the footage will stop and a new loop started? Shouldn't this be around 15 min? - What happens if you turn the LOOP feature "OFF"?

A: The loop recording is continuous. As the memory card fills up it starts deleting old files and records new over it. So you never run out of space. If you turn it off then when the memory card gets full it will stop recording. The files are recorder in 1, 2, or 3 minute sections. You can choose the size of the file. In reality an incident will occur within a minute so i have mine set at 2 minutes.

A: It has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery good for about a half hour on its own. If left plugged in to a12 volt source it will run continually.

Q: Regarding 4 Sight dash cam Pony what does "motion sensor" mean? How long does the internal battery provide power for use of the camera outside the vehicle such as to record accident scene details unavailable for view through the windshield?

A: If something impacted your vehicle while parked & the camera was turned on, it would lock, record & store the video so that it cannot be overwritten. There are 4 "G" sensor settings, 2G, 4G, 8G, OFF. The built-in rechargeable lithium battery will last approximately half an hour outside the vehicle. You can take still photos with it.
