I would rate it zero if I could, the worst

I bought this device 10 days ago. While I was not sure about its quality, the store staff encouraged me to buy it and return if I'm not happy. The indoor temperature indicates 22 degree, while the outdoor temperature indicates 24 degrees while a feel freezing cold in the house, and the weather forecast is high 11 and low 6 degree. I took it back to the same store, the customer service staff told me that she could only allow exchange and I can go ahead to buy a more expensive item.

The indoor reading could be larger just like the outdoor. We sit at the kitchen table in our rv and can only read the outdoor temperature.

Q: What is the maximum temperature rating for this thermometer? I'm thinking of using it to monitor the temperature of an RV hot water tank which maxes out at 130 F.

A: It's made for ambient temperature. I don't know if the wire is made to be dunked in hot water. In either case, I don't know the answer as we don't get weather that hot here. Not too expensive if you want to experiment though
