Great pressure canner

Forget the reviews claiming this isn't for canning. It most definitely is. Check the number on the box, and the valve is either a 10-lbs or 15-lbs pressure plug. The mirro 92122, which this is, is 15-lbs pressure. That's the highest amount of pressure you'll need for any type of canning.
Learn how to use it and read the plug for adequate pressure. First it starts to steam a bit, then the gasket blocks, and eventually you get a nice hiss and spin. It should be constant throughout the canning. The old plugs, they would rock and hiss. If it stops, it's because you failed to provide enough heat. Any problem with this technology is a user error. I've had my Mirro for 20 years, and never had a problem.
Mirro doesn't make pressure cookers, they only make pressure caners. And yes, you can use this to cook!

il n'y a pas de manuel d'instruction, on m'a répondu qu'il n'y a pas de manuel d'instruction non plus dans celui qui reste en magasin.
sur le site de T-Fal Canada ce modèle n'existe pas. Je vais devoir le retourner, ne sachant pas comment l'utiliser, aucun papier de garanti, aucune recette, pourtant dans mon clipso j'avais tout ça.

A: That is true , but if you use it for canning it is safe because food doesn’t come in contact with the aluminum .

A: The pressure canner comes with a 5, 10 and 15 psi (weights) and can be used to can low acid foods and meats. Only a pressure canner can reach 240 to 250 F that can kill off any bacteria. You must carefully follow the instructions in the manual to ensure proper usage.

A: The CT rep is misinformed. I went to a location today and looked at this Mirro 22qt pressure cooker. It says right on the box that it is not compatible with ceramic or glass cooktops. I almost bought it because I had read it on here that it was compatible but as I was in the checkout I noticed the disclaimer on the package.

A: Non, il ne fonctionnera sur aucune plaque plane car le fond est concave, c-à-d. à plusieurs niveaux. Il ne fonctionnera que sur un rond électrique ordinaire ou encore mieux, au gaz.

A: Oh, it is very simple. Take the pressure cooker back to the store with the receipt and once having your refund buy another one. Canadian Tire doesn't carry replacement parts but they do have replacements.

Q: How do you gauge what pressure you are cooking at? Is there a way to tell the PSI?

A: The pressure cooker comes with 3 different PSI attachments (8,10,12) they’re just individual pieces that you can add on depending on what weight it’s needed for the recipe.
