AS for a product review.

Okay to review the product. This ammo is Chinese surplus and is corrosive so real good cleaning after use. The ammo is excellent from my experience. I have shot a lot of it & encountered no problems. Surprisingly for surplus it is not too dirty. I will say it is very hot but the SKS has no problem with that. I will only purchase if the spam can is still closed as it is old and an open can could have been open for a long time causing corrosion to the ammo. Remember this is not Olympic grade ammo it is war surplus reserve. Over all a cheep way to shot ammo out of a old gun for a fun target shooting day. REMEMBER, CLEAN AFTER USE, including removing the bolt and firing pin! soap & hot water then CLP. ACTS & PROVE and play safe.

The description of this product is completely wrong, and the note from three years ago by a Canadian Tire employee indicates that it will be fixed, but it still has not... very weak. Description: "Surplus Ammunition, 3 x 15.35-in, 750 rounds" As per a previous review, the cartridge is 7.62 x 39mm, NOT "3x15.35-in". Please fix the product description so that we do not have to rely on a user review to figure out what caliber/cartridge is being sold. Thanks! dw

Might want to get the ammo dimentions right...

This ammunition is 7.62x39..... you cannot convert it into inches as this is a calibre. Way to confuse people Canadian Tire.

Q: Origin, year and are you sure its not corrosive? I was wondering the manufacture, country and year.Also are they really non corrosive ? Hard to believe - base on package.

A: Hello Derek778, this ammunition was produced in China during the 1980's. Being surplus ammo, the manufacturer is unknown and these rounds are corrosive. If you are looking for non-corrosive 7.62x39 ammunition, please see product SKU 175-1500 or 175-1499.
