Won't stand up to travel

This bicycle doesn't stand up to travel. We took our brand new bikes up to Restoule Provincial Park. When we got there the rear wheel was twisted so badly that it wouldn't rotate at all. The bike was ruined!
Fortunately, Canadian Tire refunded my money and I bought one with metal wheels. It travels well.

A: The above "industry standard is not to apply weight maximums to bicycles" is incorrect, they actually do!! Please look at "ASTM F2043" which categorizes bikes under five end uses:- Condition 1 — Suitable for road riding (only); - Condition 2 — For off-road riding and jumps less than 12 in. (30 cm.); - Condition 3 — For rough off-road riding and jumps less than 24 in. (61 cm.); - Condition 4 — For extreme off-road riding. This also gives weight limits for each category. Can't understand why Canadian Tire isn't subscribing to Bicycle Industry Standards.

Q: Where can I get a manual for this bike (071-1788-0)? I bought this model and it didn't come with a manual. I want to know how to tighten the brakes and what some screws that stick out are for. They told me to try and look online but cannot find one.
